IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It is strongly recommended that you upgrade to the latest version. You should ensure that all computers in your school that use ReportCard2 or EAS are running the same version. If your school uses ReportDirector, please ensure that you have the current version (available here) installed.

You need administrative privileges to install ReportCard2.0 and ReportDirector. Users also require full permissions on a number of key folders for the software to function correctly.

This release includes the latest version of ReportCard2.0, EAS and Guardian. There is an option to install Guardian on its own (on a Windows Server for instance).

This is the standard installation for a single PC. This includes the teacher data entry module (EAS) and the scanning module.

ReportDirector

It is recommended that ReportCard2.0 and ReportDirector are upgraded at the same time.

Note: ReportDirector requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

If installing ReportDirector on a Windows 98 computer, you will need to install Windows Scripting Host beforehand.

Network Deployment

Network Install using Windows Group Policies, Altiris or Novell Zenworks

These files are useful for network administrators who use network deployment software, such as Windows Group Policies, Altiris or Novell Zenworks. MST files (also called Transforms), used in conjunction with the MSI files, pre-select which features of the installation are to be installed on computers. Multiple MST files can be combined to provide different combinations

ReportCard2.0 Network Deployment

1. ReportCard2 and EAS full install (including Guardian)
   
   Download the ReportCard2.msi file.
   This is the full ReportCard2.0 and EAS installation.
   
   You will need to have version 2 of the Windows Installer on client computers. Note that computers running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or greater should have version 3 of the Windows Installer.
   
   Updates to Windows Installer for Windows 9X/ME available here.
   Updates to Windows Installer for Windows NT/2000 available here.
    
2. No Icons
   
   Download the no_icon.mst file.
   In combination with 1. will perform a full installation of ReportCard2.0 and EAS, without any icons on the desktop or Start Menu
    
3. EAS Only
   
   Download the eas.mst file.
   In combination with 1. will install ONLY EAS.
    
4. ReportCard2 Only
   
   Download the rc2.mst file.
   In combination with 1. will install ONLY ReportCard2.0.
    
5. Guardian Only
   
   Download the guardian.mst file.
   In combination with 1. will install ONLY Guardian.
    
6. No Guardian
   Download the no_guardian.mst file.
   In combination with 1. will install NOT Guardian.
    
7. All ReportCard2.0 MST Files
   
   Download all ReportCard2.0 MST file mst.zip
    

ReportDirector Network Deployment

1. ReportDirector full install
   
   Download the ReportDirector.msi file.
   This is the full ReportDirector installation.

EAS Launcher is a small tool that sits in front of the EAS executable and allows the user to choose which database they want to log into. This tool should be useful for school using multiple database. The EAS Launcher needs to be installed and configured by your schools IT or Computer Coordinator
